Entertaining at Home - Party Tents

One of the first things you need to do when organizing an event to be held outdoors is get a party tent in which guests can congregate should the weather turn bad. As you will soon discover there are plenty of different kinds of party tents that you can choose from and companies that will hire them to you.

When it comes to party tents the first thing you need to make a decision on is what type it is you want. There are two types of tents that you can choose from. You can either go for something a little traditional that is constructed from canvas and has poles and guy ropes to help keep the tent up and in position.

Whilst the other choice and which are generally the most easy to erect are those which are made using an aluminium frame. These as well as being easy to erect do not require any kind of poles in the centre or guy ropes to keep them in place and can be placed on any kind of surface and close to other structures. Plus unlike the traditional style of party tents the aluminium framed ones are more stable and are able to cover a much larger area.

Another added bonus to be had from using an aluminium framed party tent rather than a canvas and pole one is decorating them is much simpler. They will have peaked roofs and locating lighting within them that makes sure that you are able to create the right kind of mood for the event that is taking place within. In general the ones the aluminium types of party tents are covered in polyester, which has a very soft texture to it and tends to be more pliable.

Yet just as with the canvas types of party tents the polyester material used in the aluminium type ones is hardwearing, durable and will protect those inside from the weather, which around the world is proving more unpredictable as each year passes.

But whether your party tent is made from wood and canvas or polyester and aluminium you need to make sure that you locate it in the right place. It is important that the surface on to which it is to be placed is flat and even and that you are close to necessary services such as water and power. If you keep such things in mind then you will be able to stay within the constraints of the budget you have set.

Also another thing to take into consideration is the size of the party tent that you have hired. Not only will large party tents need sufficient space to be erected but you also need to allow the hire company plenty of time for erecting the tent as well.

So make sure that you give them ample time to not only erect the tent but also to decorate it inside. Then also you mustn’t forget that the hire company will also need time to remove all decorations and take the party tent once you have finished with it.

Certainly more and more people are looking at using party tents to hold important events in as they tend to cost a lot less than it would to say rent a large room in a hotel. However, it is worth spending some time looking at the various companies who offer a hire service and obtaining quotes from several before making your final decision of which one to use.
