Some points to consider...

Many people opt to erect wooden garages not purely as somewhere to keep their car safe and protected from the elements.  A great many also erect them to provide additional space where items for the garden can be stored freeing up space in their home.

When you do some research into wooden garages one of the first thing you will learn about is how many different sizes and styles of these buildings there are.  Also the cost will vary greatly from one to another and below we look at just a few of the factors that are going to affect the price that you pay for yours.

1.  Size - This is a factor that will seriously affect how much your wooden garage costs.  Certainly the larger ones that will be placed in a permanent location are going to cost much more than smaller portable models.  You should only opt for the larger types if you don't intend to move around the garden at any time in the future.

2. Wood - Those wooden garages constructed from hard woods do actually cost more, but as they last for many years to come then going for the more expensive woods such as oak, cedar or mahogany should be considered seriously.  Also one should consider opting for the more expensive hard wood garages as these don't need the same level of maintenance and care you would have to give to those made using pine, spruce or plywood.

3.  Are There Any Additional Features You Need? - If you want wooden garages to allow in plenty of light and easy access then choosing to have larger windows and bigger doors fitted to yours will cost extra.  Plus you will find that going for a pitched rather than flat roof on your garage will cost extra.

4. Who Makes The Garage? - The prices that manufacturers charge for wooden garages can vary quite dramatically. Certainly the more well known brands will come at a premium. But through doing a little research beforehand using the internet especially you will find that there are some great deals to be had.

5. Have You Time To Care For It? - In order for wooden garages to last for many years to come then one must ensure that they are properly cared for. Those of you who simply don't have time to spare on checking and caring for yours including applying a new protective coating to the exterior to protect it from the elements shouldn't consider building such a garage in their garden.
